Fernando Camargo, PhD, Boston Children’s Hospital, USA, is the recipient of the ISSCR Dr. Susan Lim Award for Outstanding Young Investigator, supported by the Dr. Susan Lim Endowment for Education and Research Ltd.( http://www.isscr.org/home/awards/OYIA ).  This award recognizes the exceptional achievements of an investigator in the early part of his or her independent career in stem cell research. Dr. Camargo’s innovative research on adult stem cells, regulation of organ size, and cancer, together with the development of a paradigm-shifting stem cell tracking technique, has greatly impacted our understanding of stem cell biology and disease, and opens new avenues in regenerative medicine.

The 2016 ISSCR Dr. Susan Lim Outstanding Young Investigator Award presentation will take place at the ISSCR Annual Meeting during Plenary Session II on the afternoon of Wednesday, 22 June.
